Helping people, in Christ, become a new creation through recreation.
Vision
SOAR is a community based recreational outreach through Cornerstone Church where people can build real relationships, healthy bodies and strong character. SOAR is built upon important values of excellence, encouragement, and family fun. Good sportsmanship takes the place of unhealthy competition as participants are given the chance to work hard, play harder and SOAR higher.

Philosophy
SOAR holds to the following beliefs in all that we do:
· Outreach – People come to Christ through a process. Successful relational outreach takes place when a person takes initiative to help another person move one step closer to Jesus Christ.
· Sports and Life – All aspects of our lives were designed to glorify God. Sports is a sphere of life that easily relates to all of life and to faith. Through sports, we develop the character of individuals. Coaches, referees, and volunteers who model these values make a profound impact on families.
· Healthy Competition –Growth takes place when players strive with (not against) one another. The most potential for growth and FUN is present when teams are evenly matched. People are made in God’s image and are of equal value to God and therefore the team.

U6 and Older: These devotionals are geared for older kids and should be simplified for the younger (U6-U8) players. They are not necessarily intended to be followed to the letter. Use them as an idea mill for relating the sport of soccer to life principles and faith for the kids on their level.
U4 and U5: The second edition of the SOARY book is in and will be distributed to each team.
WHAT’S YOUR TEAM VERSE? Coaches, adopt a team verse that you can learn and apply with your players this season. Talk about what it means and how it applies to team experiences throughout the season.

Fall Soccer Registration is open through Aug 6. You can download the registration form and mail in your registration. Online registration is under construction, but may not be available for fall. Please register using the form this season!
